Sarah Catherine Poole Swimelar
September 25, 1963 – November 28, 2005

Cathy was a loving and devoted, wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She lived her life with joy, love and passion. In June of 2003, Cathy was diagnosed with Stage III astrocytoma, a form of brain cancer. Throughout her journey she fought this disease with dignity and strength. She continued through the end to always help and be concerned for others. She never complained nor did she question the path in which her life would take. Cathy’s courage, faith and determination will forever be impressed on the hearts of those who knew her. Her Husband, three children and her family are blessed with the knowledge that Cathy was such a pillar of love and strength and her joyful outlook on life will be with them forever.

Because Cathy did not lose her battle with cancer, but succeeded in the journey of life— and for her unending concern for others, this foundation has been established in Cathy’s name and honor to help others in need in their battle with cancer.

"I will spend my heaven doing good on earth. I will let fall a shower of roses. — ST. THERESE
